Original vintage school map from Asia from the 1960s.

Vintage decoration must always be very careful, the pieces must be chosen for their design, their originality, their state of conservation but above all for the irreverence they provide. Sometimes they don't need to be complex or even expensive pieces, most of the time it is the simplicity and lightness of the pieces that allow the vintage taste to stand out and live in fullness in a contemporary space, whether for peaceful coexistence or in conflict, better said in contrast. The vintage has the right to be greater, always. A major element of vintage are maps and posters, whether scientific posters, geographical maps, botanical or zoological maps, which are original, are always differentiating pieces. In this sense, this political and geographical school map of Asia is a good example of my concept, because it is a very complete map with great precision of the countries, their borders, the most important cities, the lines of train between countries, maritime connections, etc. It is a school and an original map from the year 1964. French edition, with drawings by Girard and Barrère. However, all subtitles are in Portuguese. It is made of thick paper, reinforced on the back with linen fabric. Although the paper is thick, it has a very soft texture and is very malleable, so you may notice creases and creases from rolling and unrolling. The colors are very bright and very clear. But as this is a very old card you may notice the wet spots, mainly on the back, on the fabric, the linen is darkened from weather, use. At the front there are small tears and looser parts, in fact I would like to point out that the top left of the card and the base left of the card have some loose fabric, very little. This map is original and bears all the marks of time and use. This is a piece with lots of patina and is in good vintage condition. If you wish I can send more detailed photos, just ask.
