A superb Art Deco glass vase from the famous "Ingrid" series, designed by Henry (Heinrich) Schlevogt for Curt Schlevogt in Gablonz, Czechoslovakia, around 1930. This exquisite piece is made from heavy, opaque satin glass, meticulously crafted to mimic the deep, celestial hues of lapis lazuli. The vase features a bold geometric relief that frames four distinct female nudes, delicately sculpted in classic Art Deco poses. These relief figures, often attributed to the art of Artur Pleva or František Pazourek, testify to the exceptional craftsmanship and romantic symbolism of the Bohemian glass tradition. Set on a tiered black base, the "Ingrid" vase is a perfect example of European modernism from the 1930s. This model, which made a splash at the 1937 Paris World's Fair, remains a coveted centrepiece for collectors of Art Deco glass and mid-century decorative arts.
