Bronze Art Nouveau chandelier with five lights / Nancy school style / 1900. The gilded bronze frame features a remarkable plant composition: five long, flexible, and sinuous stems rise from a sculpted lower body adorned with large volutes to form the various light arms. These organic and flowing lines are particularly characteristic of the Art Nouveau aesthetic. The chandelier is topped with five moulded glass tulips, featuring a relief-granite decoration that transitions from opalescent white to a delicate pink hue on their broadly undulating edges. Their flower-like shape perfectly complements the naturalistic design of the frame. The upper part is also decorated with a leafy motif and retains its suspension ring. A very beautiful period light fixture, spectacular in its design and particularly elegant due to the combination of gilded bronze and opalescent pink glass. Period: around 1950. Style: Art Nouveau.
