Description
Beautiful ovoid vase, in very good condition, opalescent narrow-necked opalescent cast pressed glass with stylized floral decoration signed "JOMA French Manufacturing". This brand appeared in the 1930s. It was produced by the factory of Joseph Bourdieu and Max Durand which was located in the Paris region, in Montreuil. The exhibition store was in Paris in the 10th arrondissement. Joma comes from the anagram between the first names of the two partners "Jo" by Joseph Bourdieu and "MA" by Max Durand. They produced the "Verceram" brand. Bourdieu and Durand's business developed between 1927 and 1947. Very neat and followed shipping.
