A rare and iconic model of 1970s Swiss design, this DS-800 sofa by De Sede is nicknamed the "Biscuit" due to the generous and soft shape of its cushions, which evoke stacked biscuits. Very few examples circulate today in this original and refined configuration, quite distinct from the more massive contemporary version. The sofa consists of three fixed elements: a left seat, a central one, and a right seat. Unlike other De Sede models, it is not modular and the parts are designed to work together as a single fluid and sculptural piece. Its rounded design is both bold and timeless. Upholstered in its original beige leather, it shows even wear and an authentic patina that testify to its quality and age. The buffalo leather used by De Sede during this period is thick, supple, and built to last, giving this piece a unique charm. Ideal for lovers of 70s design, rare pieces, and characterful furniture.
