Our beni ouarain rugs are hand-knotted from pure wool by women from the berber tribe of ait ali in the north-east middle atlas. Each béni ouarain rug is made on a traditional loom. As tradition dictates, the shapes and symbols of each carpet describe an event in an allegorical way such as a wedding or a birth which makes each carpet a room steeped in history.
