This superb high quality design sideboard was produced by beithcraft in the 1960's. Pieces like this, designed by val rossi of beithcraft's 'modern range' in the mid 1960's, are among the rarest british sideboards from that period. These premium pieces are produced and sold in very small quantities and are highly collectable and a solid investment, with pieces quickly increasing in value. The design of this stunning retro sideboard is very heavily influenced by the danish furniture designers of this period. This piece has superb storage facilities. Val rossi designed for ah mcintosh of kirkcaldy in the 1960s under the direction of tom robertson. Rossi then seems to have picked up guille's possition at beithcraft around 1963/64 and it was val rossi who designed most of the excellent beithcraft sideboards which are so popular all over the world today. Beithcraft was acquired by mcintosh in the 1970s.
