This stoneware vase, signed by French ceramist Annie Maume, is a beautiful piece from the 1970s. Its slender, almost totemic shape is distinguished by a cylindrical base rising to a domed neck, subtly tapered at the top. The glaze presents a beautiful palette of brown, sienna, beige and purplish tones, blending into each other in natural drips and rich textures. This surface work evokes the mineral landscapes and spontaneity of high-temperature firing, characteristic of stoneware. The MAUME signature is engraved at the base. It is a unique piece This sculptural vase can be displayed alone as an object of art or used with some dried floral stems. A piece that is both understated and expressive, perfect for decoration inspired by wabi-sabi, nature or soft brutalism. In good condition, no chips or cracks.
