Jean Prouvé chair

Very rare "all wood" chair with armrests, variant of the standard chair, vintage 1942 where it was necessary to compensate for the lack of metal due to the war. Technical feat: only 8 metal screws! Mortise and tenon assembly for strength and rear posts. Seat in oak plywood moulded into a shape that is both light and solid. Very rare with armrests. Very nice item in its original state, patina of the waxed oak, traces of nails and splintering of the veneer on the underside of the seat without detriment to the beauty and rarity of the item. Provenance: flat in Paris, a similar one sold on the net, another one sold at wright in 2005.
