Pair of earthenware sconces signed Borderie - Szekely

Superb couple of earthenware subjects representing a man and a woman in traditional costume of hungarian folklore. Scarification and polychrome enamels. Enamel signatures of stamps "szekely - borderie". Probably originally luminous sconces, these two characters are very decorative and are exceptional pieces when we know that the pieces of vera szekely are extremely rare. André borderie (1923 / 1998) - pierre (1923 / 2001) & véra szekely (1919 / 1995) form a trio at the origin of a playful and poetic work of the 1950s.
