Restored Mid-Century Armchair Type 300-190 by Henryk Lis - Cowhide Print Ve

We are pleased to offer a true classic of Eastern European Mid-Century Modern design: the iconic armchair type 300-190, affectionately known in Poland as "Lisek" (The Fox). Designed by Henryk Lis in the 1960s, this model is celebrated for its elegant proportions, lightweight wooden frame, and exceptional seating comfort. Design and Comfort. The chair features a beautiful, aerodynamic silhouette with distinctive compass legs and smoothly curved armrests. A unique feature of this particular model is its ergonomically profiled backrest, which is specially shaped to be thicker at the lumbar region and gently tapers towards the top. This smart design provides excellent spine support, making the chair not only highly stylish but also remarkably comfortable for everyday reading or lounging. Restoration and Materials. This piece has been comprehensively and professionally restored from scratch in our specialised workshop. The solid wood frame was carefully stripped of all old varnishes and stained in a deep, rich rosewood (palisander) colour to highlight the natural wood grain, then sealed for lasting protection and a smooth touch. The seating interior, including all belts and foams, has been completely replaced with brand new, high-resilience materials to meet modern comfort standards. For the upholstery, we selected a premium, soft velour fabric featuring a bold cowhide animal print. This choice adds an eclectic, playful, and contemporary edge to the classic vintage silhouette, making it a perfect statement piece. Dimensions: Total Height: 78 cm. Width: 58 cm. Depth: 60 cm.
