Retro commode with shelves Art Deco painted wood

A piece of furniture like no longer made, full of life and memory. This old vegetable cabinet dating from the 1930s-40s immediately charms with its simple and straight silhouette, all in elegant restraint. Its two hinged doors open very wide, overflowing from the casing onto an interior with wooden shelves. This retro sideboard, combining rustic charm and functionality, was designed to promote air circulation and ensure good preservation of vegetables, fruits, or provisions. Today, this piece of furniture will easily find its place in a kitchen, a pantry, or a country house. One can also imagine it repurposed as an original storage unit, particularly as a shoe cabinet in an entrance hall. The furniture is old and dates from the 1940s. It has a painted wooden casing, which is original and patinated as seen in the photo. The paint is chipped on the feet. The round knobs are made of orange-red Bakelite. The interior of the cabinet is made of wooden slats. The whole is stable, sturdy, and in good condition. There are slight wear marks on the feet and edges, consistent with the age of the furniture, without structural damage.
