This beautiful bistro coffee cup is made of thick earthenware, probably from Sarreguemines. The production of this opaque earthenware began in the 1860s. In the bistros of the past, boiling coffee was served in these cups called "brulot". This cup dates from the turn of the 20th century, it is made of thick opaque earthenware and decorated with simple blue and black stripes. There is no stamp, and it measures about 8 cm in height. Note a flaw in the glaze at the bottom and two defects on the edge. There is a visible line of coffee.
