Ceramic vase by Jean Austruy

Ceramic vase signed Jean Austruy. Height 15 cm. Width 18 cm. Depth 16 cm. Jean Austruy (1910–2012) studied drawing at the School of Fine Arts in Montpellier, then sculpture in Paris, simultaneously at the National School of Decorative Arts and the School of Fine Arts. He then settled in Saint-Marcellin, in Isère, where he taught drawing, modelling, and decoration for several decades, notably at the School of Fine Arts and Industrial Arts in Grenoble.
