This charming antique cheese dome is made of moulded crystal. It dates from the 1920s and comes with its crystal display plate. The dome is plain, while the pedestal plate is adorned with a moulded design of diamond points. The decoration is marked "deposited" in the mass, and it is certainly a model from Portieux Vallerysthal. The handle is formed hot. There are small imperfections in the glass - bubbles and marks - which are all testimonies to the old manufacturing of this dome. In overall good condition, it shows signs of use: scratches and two chips on the edge of the dome. This cheese dome measures 19.5 cm in total height. The display plate measures 6.5 cm in height X 19.5 cm in diameter. The dome measures 13 cm in height X 15.5 cm in diameter. Perfect for wedding or reception decoration, it can be paired with pedestal dishes, bowls, and cake stands.
