Very high quality, with no scratches or chips. ------------ Otto Brauer (1911–1984) began his career in the Danish glass industry at just 14 years old. He is now best known for his "Gulvase" (floor vase) series for the Holmegaard company. Designed in 1962, these vases feature bottle shapes, pop colours, and joyful expressions. They are available in five sizes. In the early years, the bottles were only available in solid glass: olive green, brown, dark blue, and white. In 1970, they were launched with a white inner layer and a coloured outer layer: red, ruby red, turquoise, green, olive green, and yellow. Today, these vases are often adorned with a contrasting coloured ball. These balls were actually designed by Michael Bang, but made in the same glassworks as the bottles.
