Vintage Gervais Danone knife holders, dachshund design, clear plastic

Charming vintage Gervais Danone knife rests, inscribed on the back, made of molded clear plexiglass (lucite), with "Lait Mont Blanc" inscribed under the back legs. Two pieces are slightly different in the shape of their front legs, a very subtle difference. They are stylized dachshund-shaped, quite stylish, mid-century modern. Produced in the 1960s-70s. 11 cm long and 4.5 cm high at the top (heads), 2.5 cm high at the back. In good condition, though some pieces vary. There are minor scratches from use, some more visible than others, slight abrasions, and other minor imperfections consistent with age. The two "Lait Mont Blanc" pieces show slightly more wear and very subtle variations in color, perhaps indicating they are a bit older. Approximately 20 g each. Pieces are randomly selected within the lot.
