Elegant tilt-top table in solid mahogany dating from the second half of the 19th century (circa 1850–1880). It rests on a central turned baluster column ending in a curved tripod base. The square top with rounded corners features a superb mahogany grain with warm and deep reflections. The original brass tilt mechanism allows the top to be positioned vertically for storage against a wall, characteristic of the so-called "tilt-top" side tables, which were very popular in the 19th century. Beautiful old patina. Signs of age consistent with its years (usage scratches, slight marks on the top). Structure is sound and stable. An elegant and timeless piece, perfect as a side table, guéridon, or end table. Collection in person or delivery.
