Founded in 1849 as a trunk maker, moynat is a parisian house whose history is marked by unique imagination and know-how inherited from the 19th century. Intertwined with the automobile revolution and the independence of belle époque paris, the luxury leather goods house has cultivated a story of freedom and wonder in exceptional bags, accessories and objects of art that are a celebration of craftsmanship and personalization. This trunk dated 1908, made entirely of wood, is covered with a brown coated and waxed canvas, as was the practice at the time to protect goods from bad weather during travel. It features period-correct, authentically stamped brass fittings, beech wood reinforcements and studded leather edging, and leather handles. The interior is composed of two frames lined with beige canvas and 2 removable canvas shelves. The malleability is signed with the initials cc model: series d mail trunk, 1908 - l111 X d48 X h54.
