Oak storage unit, splayed legs circa 1950s

Vintage low storage unit/buffet in oak, dating from the mid-century (1950s). The unit is made of oak, with a golden oak veneer finish, and rests on tapered legs. Its design offers a large storage capacity. On the left, the large storage compartment features a removable shelf with a black Formica edge. Its dimensions are: H 59 cm X W 72 cm X D 43 cm. The space above the shelf is approximately 34 cm and the space below is 22 cm. The cupboard door and the four drawers retain their original brass-coloured handles, adorned with black "scoubidou" style weaving (typical of the era). On the right, there is an open storage space measuring: H 32 cm X W 71 cm X D 44 cm. The three drawers below are functional and clean. The unit has a total of four drawers (1+3), all functional and clean (see photos). Drawers: W 69 cm X D 40 cm X H 11 cm. The interior of the drawers and storage spaces shows slight signs of age and use (see photos). The two side panels feature an elegant and streamlined design resembling shark fins, adding lightness and refinement to the structure (see photos). The unit is in good overall original condition and vintage condition; with normal wear and tear marks for its age, as well as a natural patina and very slight discolouration on the top surface (see photos with a one-cent coin for scale, the side panels, the drawers, the sliding doors, the handles, the shelf, the interior of the drawers, and the legs). Please note: An old repair is visible on the lower part of the front left side panel (see photo). A few minor veneer repairs are present on the central drawer and the third drawer on the right (see photos). Tiny veneer chips are missing on the left and right edges.
