Vintage armchair with curved back on its wooden base, back and seat upholstered in original fabric, piping border. It will have been used very little as the trim and the covering fabric are in good used condition. This fireside chair during an auction in 2003 by a renowned firm was attributed to maison dominique. Maison dominique: two decorators andré domin (1883-1962) and marcel genevriere (1885-1967) created this house in 1922. They are decorators-designers who immediately rank among the avant-garde of decorative artists. They want to free themselves from the styles of the past. They will work on several liners such as: le normandie. After the war, they received orders from mobilier national, among others, for the elysée palace (read f. Marcillac).
