Iconic Antique Jacob Tostrup 950 Silver and Plique-a-jour Enamel Spoon

A Norwegian Art Nouveau silver spoon by Jacob Tostrup. The tapering handle is enriched. With applied silver wirework enclosing translucent green plique-à-jour enamel and opaque enamel in blue, turquoise and lilac tones. The reverse of the bowl is engraved with stylised. Foliate ornament. The workmanship is consistent with high-quality decorative production. From the Tostrup workshop during the early twentieth century. Condition: Overall well preserved. Silver framework structurally sound and undistorted. Hallmarks. Clear and legible. Two small losses confined to the green plique-à-jour enamel. No obvious. Evidence of later repair observed from visual examination. Opaque enamels well preserved.
