Superb miniature of the 18th century representing an elegant of the age of enlightenment. The features, both realistic and a little naïve, have something very touching. The beauty reveals the beginning of her "throat" thanks to a generous neckline ending with a red ribbon knot. In her hair pulled back, we spot a flower surrounded by foliage. Through the recessed open window, we see some tree branches, hills in the distance and a lake. The outfit, the touch of pink on the lips, everything in this little love portrait paints an era. The portrait was put in the circle and framed in a beautiful blackened wooden medallion with brass inner strapping (part of which was chiseled).
