Otis desk

This beech structure office has been restored in a spirit of nature and / or seaside. It was in rather good condition but nevertheless required many hours of work, because of the thick layer of wax that its former owners had put on it and that had to be removed! Adjusting the drawers also took a long time before the desk could be colored. The office tray was also repaired and reinforced. Two drawer fronts remained raw as well as the extended pull, decorated with fern leaves. The inside of the drawers is painted in light beige for the sides and upholstered with a nice wallpaper with natural motifs. The large drawer had a lock that disappeared and whose notch had to be plugged. A nice patinated brass button was affixed instead. The old brass handles have been preserved. After polishing they were replaced. The entire desk has been varnished to protect it longer from wear. Size: Height 74 cm. Width 100 cm.
