Elegant small decorative vase with two angular handles, from the historic workshops of the hb faience factory in Quimper, and marketed under the odetta brand, reserved for the high-end production of artistic stoneware at the beginning of the 20th century. Against a background of intense cobalt blue enamel, a central medallion depicts the profile of a Breton woman in a hand-painted headscarf, treated in a style that is both traditional and stylized, characteristic of the 1920s. The geometric handles and the reserved composition testify to the art deco influence on the forms and decorations of this period. Historical context: The hb factory (hubaudière-bousquet), founded in Quimper in the 18th century, is one of the great French faience houses. Under the impetus of the odetta brand, created in the 1920s, the workshop developed a more refined line of artistic stoneware, combining Breton inspiration, modernist aesthetics and exceptional ceramic know-how. Condition: very good vintage condition, original glossy varnish, no chips or restorations. Piece signed, numbered and referenced: hb quimper – odetta – n°165. Dimensions: 15 X 11 X h11 cm.
