Antique wooden cabinet painted in black and with incised white painted decorations, Ettore Zaccari, Italy c 1910

Antique wooden sideboard manufactured in Italy by furniture maker Ettore Zaccari around 1910. Interesting white painted incised decorations are beautifully contrasting the black colour of the wood. As seen on this sideboard, Zaccari was inspired by the renaissance, Asian and primitive art. Some examples of his furniture design is occasionally being offered in auction houses (Christie's for instance) The sideboard does not have keys, it can't be locked. Inside there is one wooden shelf with adjustable height. This is a rare and luxury statement piece, it comes with beautiful shelving unit (you can see it on some photos), and with massive coffee table...both are listed and sold separately from this sideboard. The sideboard is in very good condition, there are some age and use related traces of cosmetic wear, some small areas with loss of paint finish, some scratches etc...there are some old, inactive woodworm holes-the wood has been treated against woodworms.
