The porcelain excellence of Limoges is expressed through this elegant set of 8 dessert plates. Made by an unidentified manufacturer (generic signature on the back, see image_6.png), this series likely dates from the mid-20th century, around the 1950s. They are distinguished by their slightly octagonal shape and a sophisticated geometric decoration: a radiating pattern of silver borders that start from the rim and taper towards the centre of the plate. The silver trim on the edge adds a delicate finish. The contrast between the pure white of the fine porcelain and the shine of the silver evokes the Art Deco style while interpreting it in a more modern way. This small size is ideal for serving desserts, petits fours, or for a delicate starter. Precise dimensions: Diameter: 16.5 cm. Height: 2 cm. Detailed condition: These plates are in superb condition. The porcelain is sound, with no chips or cracks. The silver borders are very well preserved, retaining all their shine, a sign of moderate use. Very slight traces of wear, almost imperceptible, may be noted on the gilding of a few pieces, which is inevitable for objects of this era.
