Antique bridal vase in white porcelain with hand-painted floral décor and gilding characteristic of "old paris" porcelain. In the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, this type of vase was offered to young women married on the wedding day and blessed in church. A bouquet of silk flowers or orange blossom buds in white wax was placed there, and often it was presented under a glass globe to symbolize the couple's wedding and perpetuate the memory. Very good condition.
