A very large and decorative Belgian folding screen, dating from the late 18th century. Executed in embossed leather with gilt paint, the design follows the style of Daniel Marot (1661–1752), the renowned French-Dutch designer active in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. This impressive screen, with a total width of 280 cm and a height of 228 cm, is composed of four panels (each approx. 70 cm wide). Its monumental scale and richly decorated surfaces make it a striking statement piece. Condition: Decorative, with old repairs (see photos).
