Italian surrealist castle figurine

Made in italy, this ceramic figurine is in the shape of a colourful, surrealist castle. Hand painted, the castle has pointed peak towers and appears to sit alone on a cliff. It is marked italy 297 underneath, with an additional marking of 9402. A whimsical and unique piece, not much is known about it. Some pieces in similiar style marked 297 indicate it may have been made in piccola. The ceramic and paint style indicates it may have been made between 40's - 60's.
