Barrel chair + 2 poufs Selac 1970s cognac and white faux leather

Living room set consisting of a barrel chair and two matching storage poufs, produced by Selac in Nantes, registered design, 1970s. Characteristic space age design of the period: solid cylindrical volumes, contrasting horizontal bands in cognac and off-white faux leather, round seat topped with a curved, enveloping backrest. The three pieces are functional. The seat of the chair and the tops of the poufs lift up to provide access to an interior storage space, with removable bowls. With a height of 36.5 cm, the two poufs also make excellent bedside tables or end tables. French manufacture. Marked Selac 44 Nantes, registered design [+ model number if present]. Dimensions: Chair: total height 64 cm, seat height 38 cm, diameter 58 cm. Poufs: height 36.5 cm, diameter 35 cm. Condition: Very good original condition, soft faux leather without cracks, sound stitching. Some signs of use on the strap and the inner edge of the backrest, visible in the photos. Storage bowls slightly yellowed with age. No restoration, original upholstery. Sold as an inseparable lot.
