Model Chair "Les Arcs," Circa 1960

Selected by Charlotte Perriand, dalvera editor. "les arcs" model chair, circa 1960. Black lace-up metal, tawny leather. H: 80 cm, l 47 cm, p: 49 cm, seated height: 44 cm. Vintage state, in very good condition of use: very beautiful patina of tawny leather /cognac, presence of small traces without gravity, small lack of paint on the tubular structure. All visible in the photos. Model selected by charlotte perriand to furnish the apartments of the residences of the ski resort "les arcs" in the 1960s. Black, stackable, laated tubular structure. Leather stretched for the seat and back: this leather is formed of a single piece and reinforced by double white seams, saddle type, at the base of the seat. The leather is attached to the tubular structure thanks to eight riveted strips: 4 to two rivets on the backrest and 4 to three rivets at the top of the back and on the seat. Iconic model often mistakenly attributed to charlotte perriand who only ordered it from dal vera, a now-defunc italian manufacturer.
