A "compartment" or grid pattern where each panel displays unique motifs such as mihrabs (arched niches), stylised trees, floral bouquets, and garden scenes. The lush colour palette and intricate design make this piece a true gem of traditional weaving from the Kashmir region. Hand-knotted in India in the 1980s. The rug is in good condition with some signs of age and wear, such as discolourations and stains where the silk has darkened over time, which is difficult to change even with professional cleaning.
