In this advertisement, you will find a beautiful vintage hand-knotted Baluch prayer rug. It is traditionally made by nomadic tribes in the border regions of Afghanistan and Pakistan. These rugs are distinguished by their deep, saturated colours—typically dark reds, blues, and browns—and their geometric tribal patterns. It features a traditional mihrab (prayer niche) design at the top, a common characteristic of prayer rugs. The central field and borders are filled with complex geometric and tribal motifs. Made in Afghanistan in the 1950s. The rug is in good condition. If you have any further questions regarding this piece, please feel free to contact me. Happy shopping!.
