941 Jacques Daum, Daum France, ashtrays

A cut crystal ashtray signed "daum france" in good condition. Note, very tiny micro-shards, barely visible to the naked eye, to the notch where cigarettes and scratches of normal use are placed (see photos). This crystal factory was founded in 1878 in nancy (france) by jean daum. These workshops have trained some of the great names of art nouveau (jacques greber, henri bergé, almaric walter, the schneider brothers among others). After the second world war, crystal took precedence under the direction of henri and michel daum and jacques daum until 1885. For non-smokers, this ashtray could, why not, serve as empty pockets or clipboards. Careful and followed shipping.
