Villeroy & Boch Burgenland Blue Dessert Plates and Dishes

Cake service, including a dish and 6 plates, by villeroy & boch mettlach, collection "burgenland" blue. Stamped "villeroy & boch mettlach / made in germany saar / 'burgenland' / mettlacher kupferdruck unterglasur " (green stamp from 1959 to 1970). Blue monochrome decoration on a creamy white background: romantic riverside landscapes, finely detailed, lush blooms on the rim. Gently scalloped border and enhanced with a relief. Villeroy & boch periodically reissues its famous burgenland model, with different landscapes. These plates date from the 1960s. No trace of use (scratches, stains, etc.); a point and a bump on the edge of a plate, a chip on the back of the dish (see detail photo). Dimensions: dish - diam. 31 cm; plate - 21 cm.
