A beautiful kidney-shaped salon table in the Louis XV-Louis XVI transitional style, crafted from rosewood, palisander, and various wood veneers. It features fine ornamentation with chased and gilded bronze motifs. The tabletop is adorned with an openwork gallery of gilded brass (which needs straightening). It also boasts fine chased and gilded bronze mounts. The table opens with a drawer in the frieze and rests on four legs ending in bronze sabots. The marquetry requires restoration. Period: Late 19th century.
