Large engraving late nineteenth (around 1880) black and white representing a rural scene: herd of cows and farmer coming to milking after a painting by julien dupré, engraved with etching by henri lefort (signature of both at the bottom of the engraving, in the plate). Format of the engraving 25 X 39cm with margin of 10cm. In wooden frame painted green and gilded molded border framing the protective glass. No wall attachment system on the back. Total dimensions 50 X 65cm. Packed weight 3kg. Julien dupre (1851 / 1910) is a parisian naturalist painter (ecole des beaux arts de paris) known for his paintings of agricultural scenes, peasantry, rurality etc. Henri (emile) lefort (1852 / 1937) is a parisian etching engraver.
