Postmodern German grey metal coat rack by Markus Börgens for D-Tec, 1980s.

A delicate coat rack by D-Tec, designed by Markus Börgens in the 1980s. A very functional and elegant coat rack in a postmodern style. The arms of the coat rack are inserted side by side into the base and are mounted on pivots. The upper end is chrome-plated and bends at a right angle. The actual coat hangers are wave-shaped — a functional ornament and undoubtedly the most striking detail of this coat rack. Small wooden spheres adorn the top. Three small hooks are located at the centre of the column, suitable for umbrellas, for example. The heavy base is shaped like a shallow dome. The coat rack is in very good condition with signs of use and patina.
