Cheese platter in Vallauris faience, squirrel decoration – 1960s-70s

Beautiful vintage cheese platter in glazed ceramic from Vallauris, featuring a relief decoration of a squirrel among leaves and hazelnuts. Its particularly warm palette combines ochre yellow, reddish-brown, and various shades of green, with a shiny glaze that beautifully highlights the relief of the decoration. It is complemented by a twisted black metal handle. Marked "VALLAURIS" on the reverse. Very good vintage condition. Some discreet signs of age and use, particularly on the reverse and on the base, with no notable visible damage. See photos. Can be used as a cheese platter or repurposed as a decorative object: its colours and decoration make it a very beautiful piece to display. Vallauris, France — second half of the 20th century, probably 1960s-70s.
