The design of this chest of drawers from the Idee Möbel programme by Erich Stratmann for Oldenburger Möbelwerkstätten marks a milestone in 1950s furniture design. The body with new white HPL coating forms a calm background for the striking doors with inlays made of ash veneer, while a strikingly curved new stainless steel frame in Bauhaus design gives the piece a floating lightness. After careful restoration, the object is presented in very good vintage condition.
