The Plia folding chair is an inventive and beautiful design by Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli in 1967, Italy. This icon is included in every standard publication on 20th century (furniture) design. It has a simple folding mechanism so the chair can easily be stored and serve for occasional use. Red coated steel frame with seat and back panel in straw stretched over a solid beech wood frame. Excellent original condition and multiple chairs available. The chair is signed and engraved with the manufacturer's mark.
