Elegant walnut writing table, Louis XIV, early 18th century, Languedoc. Superb and elegant walnut table from Poitou from the 18th century. It rests on a turned base in balusters and faceted rosaries linked together by a scalloped and molded X-shaped spacer with a spinning top in its center, all partly stained black originally. The table opens on the front with a large molded drawer with old pull-out style ironwork in the center, and inside dressed in a fabric with floral decoration. The whole is topped with a molded tray. Very elegant table due to its original base. Work from Languedoc, Louis XIV period, late 17th, early 18th century. Superb quality work in excellent condition and entirely original.
