Blown Empoli XL amphora carboy

Large amphora carboy from the 50s/60s, characteristic of Empoli production (Italy): very beautiful intense green color. - The body is square in section and the 2 handles are positioned on the edges. - Blown artisanal manufacture as evidenced by the trace of the pontil in the center of the bottom (glassmaker's cane to hold the piece during manufacture), the absence of joint planes and the handles which were applied hot. - Empoli, a Tuscan city a few km from Florence, is known for its glass production workshops, an activity dating back to the 15th century and which developed in parallel with that of wine. - Dimensions H34 x W25 x D25cm - Very good condition, no accidents (no chips or cracks) - Careful shipping (double nesting packaging).
