Student desk CM217 by Pierre Paulin, published by Thonet in the 1960s. France, made of steel, oak, and formica. A compact desk with a very graphic design, intended for student use or a home office. A light rectangular top rests on a slender black lacquered metal frame. A suspended wooden drawer at the front provides discreet storage. The whole piece plays on the contrast between metal and wood, featuring very understated lines typical of 1960s design.
