6 chairs 420 Harry Bertoia for Knoll International, 1970s

Set of six vintage chairs model 420 designed by Harry Bertoia for Knoll International. Created in 1952, the Bertoia collection has become one of the most iconic creations of American modernist design. The shell, entirely made of welded steel wire, gives the chair a particularly light and graphic structure. This homogeneous set of six pieces dates from the 1970s. The structures have been fully restored: they have been sandblasted and then powder-coated in black. The vintage ochre fabric seat cushions have been retained and create a beautiful contrast with the black structure. Very good overall vintage condition. The structures are solid and the new finish is very clean. The cushions show slight signs of use and some variations in colour due to age. Model 420 by Harry Bertoia, published by Knoll International.
