Magnificent set of 5 iron earthenware plates from the Clairefontaine factory. They date from the end of the 19th century, beginning of the 20th century as evidenced by their LG stamp (for Léon Graves who was director of the factory between 1894 and 1913). For the castles decor, each plate represents a castle in France: Chambord, Chantilly, Pierrefonds, Rambouillet, Saint-Germain. In excellent condition, but note a small chip in the decoration of the plate of the Château de Pierrefonds. On one plate, the stamp is not visible. The details are in the photos that accompany this description, but do not hesitate to contact me for any further information, I will be happy to provide you with information. If you would like delivery by Mondial Relay, please let me know the chosen relay point.
