Set of 8 slatted back oak chairs by "De Ster" Gelderland, 1960s.

Set of 8 oak slatted back chairs by "De Ster" Gelderland, 1960s. Set of 8 solid oak slatted back chairs by De Ster Gelderland, made in the 1960s. The backrest features a sculpted top rail with a small decorative detail, giving the chairs a rustic, almost playful touch. The outer slats extend through the top rail, making the backrest particularly sturdy. The seats are sculpted to fit the body well. Comfortable, even for long dinners. The legs taper inversely – thinner at the top, thicker at the bottom – giving them a solid and grounded appearance. The wood has a warm patina acquired over the decades, highlighting the grain and craftsmanship. They share some similarities with the work of Guillerme and Chambron, particularly in the use of slats, and with the chairs of Rainer Daumiller when looking at the shape of the seat. This makes them interesting for collectors who appreciate this style. They are in very good condition. Solid and stable. Easy shipping worldwide. We can pack them in soft pack to keep shipping costs low. The chairs have been carefully cleaned and the wood has received light maintenance... Dimensions. Width: 43 cm. Height: 98 cm.
