Large sculptural ashtray made of solid onyx, carved from a single block of natural stone. The piece features a pronounced mineral contrast between translucent milky white areas and ochre brown veins, typical of the onyx/alabaster used in decorative objects from the mid-20th century. The surface is intentionally irregular and raw on the sides, while the central plate is polished, hollowed out with notches for cigarettes. This interplay of finishes highlights the brutalist and organic character of the object, straddling the line between decorative sculpture and utilitarian item. Each face offers a different mineral pattern, making this piece unique. Ideal as a collector's ashtray, but also as a catch-all, decorative object, or strong mineral piece on a coffee table, desk, or shelf. DETAILS Material: onyx / natural alabaster.
