Charming antique mirror (19th century), Napoleon III period, with floral and bird decoration. Stucco and wood frame. Gilding with varnished gold wax (not gold leaf). Feet enhanced with acanthus leaves. Pediment with rich decoration. Non-beveled silver mirror. On the back, period parquet. Beautiful decorative effect! Antique mirror with irregularities and imperfections. The whole has been the subject of non-academic restorations both at the level of the plaster (acanthus leaf reattached, missing plaster filled, etc.) and the gilding (varnished gold wax).
